Roomonitor proudly served as the GOLD Sponsor at the 1st National Congress of ALEP (Portuguese Association of Local Accommodation), which took place on October 1st and 2nd in Porto. This groundbreaking event brought together key stakeholders from the tourism industry to discuss both the challenges and future opportunities in Portugal’s growing local accommodation sector.

As primary sponsors, we reaffirmed our dedication to delivering cutting-edge technological solutions, such as our real-time noise monitoring system and comprehensive property management services, which enhance the operation of short-term rentals.

Technological Innovation in Local Accommodation

During the congress, Roomonitor had the opportunity to present its solutions in the exhibition area. We demonstrated how our tools help property managers and hosts maintain control over noise levels, ensuring harmonious interactions between guests and neighbors. Additionally, we underscored the significance of having a 24/7 support and assistance team, a service that enhances the guest experience while reducing operational stress for property managers.

This event also provided a platform to engage with key figures in the industry, including Miguel Pinto Luz, Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Pedro Machado, Secretary of State for Tourism, Carlos Abad, President of Turismo de Portugal, and Eduardo Miranda, President of ALEP. These discussions highlighted the growing need for innovative technological solutions to address the industry’s evolving challenges.

The Future and Challenges of Local Accommodation

The second day of the congress focused on equipping property managers and local accommodation owners with practical tools for optimizing their operations. Topics such as price optimization, artificial intelligence in operational management, and new sector-specific legislation were discussed. This practical approach enabled participants to explore actionable solutions that can significantly improve day-to-day operations and elevate the guest experience.

Roomonitor’s role as a sponsor not only solidified our leadership in noise and property management technology but also showcased our ongoing commitment to fostering responsible and sustainable tourism in Portugal.

The 1st National Congress of ALEP was a tremendous success, and we are proud to have been part of this historic event, which sparked important dialogue about the future of local accommodation across Europe.
