Commitment to Sustainable Tourism: Sevilla hosts a new delivery of weRespect seals

Evento de weRespect en Sevilla

On Monday, October 7th, we had the honor of participating in an event held in Sevilla, where we presented weRespect seals to various stakeholders in the tourism sector committed to sustainability and harmonious coexistence in short-term rental properties. This initiative by Roomonitor exemplifies how collaboration between the public and private sectors can foster more conscious, respectful tourism that aligns with local communities.

Sustainable and Responsible Tourism: A Shared Commitment

This event was not only a celebration of the achievements so far but also a significant step towards a future of tourism that respects local communities and protects the environment in which it operates. The weRespect seal stands out as a certification for those in the tourism sector who adopt responsible practices that promote better coexistence between tourists and residents.

At Roomonitor, our mission is to be part of this change by providing technological tools that help manage the impact of tourism in cities. Real-time noise monitoring and data analysis on behavior in short-term rental properties are examples of how we contribute to reducing disturbances and enhancing the quality of life for both residents and tourists.

Public-Private Collaboration with the City of Sevilla

We would like to extend our special thanks to the collaboration and participation of Turismo de Sevilla, represented by Ángela María Moreno Ramón, the Deputy Mayor and Delegate for Tourism and Culture of the City Council of Sevilla. We also appreciate Juan Ignacio Chaves Posadillo, Vice President of AVVAPRO (Association of Professionals of Tourist Apartments and Homes of Andalusia), Ángela Torres Pérez-Solero representing Airbnb, Eduardo Suárez, President of weRespect, and Ignacio Suárez, CEO of Roomonitor. Their involvement and commitment to sustainability in the sector were crucial to the event’s success.

At Roomonitor, we firmly believe that by working together, we can continue to advance in the adoption of certified measures that ensure more respectful and conscious tourism. This event in Sevilla is just the beginning of a long journey toward a future where sustainability and community coexistence go hand in hand with tourism development in Andalusia.

We remain committed to fostering better tourism because we believe it is both possible and necessary for the cities and the people who inhabit them.
